A Summertime Treat

can't get a pa dairymen's milkshake try this smoothie insteadThere’s a reason July has been deemed National Ice Cream Month. There’s nothing better than a bowl of cold ice cream in the middle of the summer heat (besides Pa. Dairymen’s milkshakes in January, of course). If you’re looking for a tasty summer treat to cool you down and a fun activity for the kids, try our s-MOO-thie recipe that will send you over the MOOn!

For one s-MOO-thie, you’ll need:

  • 7 Oreos
  • 2 cups Turkey Hill ice cream
  • 1 cup ice
  • ¾ cup milk
  • Real whipped cream

For an original s-MOO-thie, stick with chocolate or vanilla Turkey Hill ice cream. But, if you’re looking to try something a little more adventurous, we suggest Turkey Hill’s Peanut Butter Ripple, Strawberry Cheesecake or Choco Mint Chip.

Choosing your ice cream flavor is the hardest part of making this s-MOO-thie. The rest is a piece of cake!

Combine six Oreos, ice cream, ice and milk into a blender, and blend for about 30 seconds. Pour the mixture into a Pa. Dairymen’s cup and top with whipped cream and the seventh Oreo (crumbled). That’s it! Ice cream smoothie deliciousness.

Now, turn the AC up, close your eyes, and it will almost feel like you’re at Farm Show.
