Christmas is just around the corner. It’s a time for family, friends and celebrating the holiday season. For most, it is a day off to relax and enjoy the holiday. But, dairy farmers cannot take a day off. Their farms operate 365 days a year so you can have food on your table three times a day, even Christmas day. Taking that into consideration, it is interesting to what has changed in Christmas past to today for dairy farmers.

Top 5 Reasons Dairy Farmers Rock

Not many people become famous for raising dairy cows, running a family farm and producing the best quality dairy foods. But, that’s just what dairy farmers do every day. If you’ve ever met a dairy farmer, you know that they tend to be humble and modest. They aren’t farming to receive recognition or accolades. However, that doesn’t stop farmers from excelling at their jobs: keeping us fed, their animals healthy and caring for the environment. Despite obstacles that might present themselves, we value dairy farmers during June Dairy Month and all year (especially during January when we are slurping delicious Dairymen’s milkshakes!). Here’s our top five reasons why we think dairy farmers rock.

We all have childhood dreams. Some of these include becoming superheroes, star athletes or doctors. Sometimes, we dream of owning a big house, a pony or being the tallest person in our class. My childhood dream, along with becoming a vet and someday owning a giraffe, was to become a dairy princess.
